Ireland 2007 : My riding buddies and I hopped across the Pond to the land of leprechauns and Guinness. I'd always wanted to visit Ireland and combining it with my first cross-country riding experience was absolutely brilliant! We stayed in Galway for the first two days and toured the city and country-side. It was as gorgeous as I'd imagined, full of open green hills dotted with white sheep and an occasional horse. We stopped in Clifden to gaze off the west-coast of Ireland as well as get some shopping in. Then we drove south a bit to Adare for our primary destination at the Clonshire Equestrian Centre where we jumped and rode cross country for five days straight, three or four hours a day. It was simultaneously grueling and exhilarating -- a truly one-of-a-kind experience.
